2022.06.03Notice from Gotion’s China Headquarters — Winning Bid for China State Grid’s Multifunctional Mobile Energy Storage Vehicle Project
Recently, Hefei Gotion High-tech Power Energy Co., Ltd. (Gotion) won the bid for China State Grid’s multifunctional mobile energy storage vehicle project. Gotion will provide liquid-cooled battery boxes and its “power ocean” energy storage system product for this project, achieving a new breakthrough in energy storage systems and applications.
The mobile energy storage vehicle project for which Gotion won the bid was implemented by NARI Group, a research and industrial organization directly under China State Grid, and has a specified capacity of 9.6MWh. The “power ocean” adopted for this project is Gotion’s third-generation energy storage product. Combining an advanced liquid cooling system with high-capacity lithium iron phosphate batteries, it enables rapid access to backup power within 0.6 seconds and 18 hours of continuous operation. Delivery is scheduled for mid-August this year.
The multifunctional mobile energy storage vehicle is a major demonstration project implemented by China State Grid to enhance the emergency charging capability of electric vehicles and improve the level of emergency power supply protection services. Winning this bid represents a major breakthrough for Gotion in the innovation of energy storage system products and demonstrates that Gotion’s energy storage batteries based on lithium iron phosphate batteries have gained further recognition in the market.
Expanding the market for energy storage system products is one of Gotion’s current product strategies. Gotion’s energy storage products and systems have achieved success in major energy storage system markets worldwide, including China, the United States, and Japan. Gotion has also agreed to cooperate in the energy storage field with companies such as China State Grid, China Tower, China Power Investment, and JinkoSolar. In addition, Gotion supplies containerized energy storage systems for energy storage projects including the 72MW/72MWh energy storage and frequency regulation project in West Virginia, United States, and Huaneng’s 40MW/40MWh wind power energy storage project.
